 Regents. An ineffective heater in lower Regents is right on schedule to be fixed by summer, sources report. The heater, which blows out lukewarm air, has been given top priority by the maintenance department and will be fixed as soon as possible. “Don’t sweat it,” said a maintenance worker who wished to remain anonymous. “We’ll have that thing working before you know it.” The same worker was also heard saying, “Don’t worry. Summer will be here before you know it.” The occupants of the room where the heater is say that the current situation is unacceptable and they want a partial refund on their housing costs. “It’s like a freezer in this room,” said one of the room’s occupants, a student who wished to remain anonymous. “So c-c-c-old.” Another student who lived in the same room a year ago, said she thought the heater broke last year too. “Now that you mention it,” she said, “I don’t think they ever did get it fixed.” Housing authorities to whom the problem was reported claim that the heater will be fixed “very soon.” “Summer is right around the corner if you think about it,” said a housing authority who wished to remain anonymous. “And by then, I’m sure that the heater will be cranking out the hot stuff.”
